Does anyone remember the black sand shoes we had to wear in primary school for gym? Does anyone remember if they were called "black marangers" or "jimmies"? Thanks for help.

How long ago was that?? I was at primary school in the early 80s and we called them pumps and we had a little drawstring pump bag with them in hung up in the cloakroom. My mum made mine and embroidered my initials on it, I still have it 25yrs later!!!
