I've only worked in 2 places, but in both places I was expected to break the law. It isn't really very fair - I'm not someone who is obsessed with red tape, but if there is a law their for a reason, I won't break it. That costed me both jobs, but I kept my morals. And I'm glad I did - seeing as I worked with children, I'm glad I made a stand.

You have that right, especially if it means keeping your job, just make sure they can't double check on you.
I am old school and still can't believe what some employees get away with, like lying to get the job and the experienced workers do the cleaning up after their sloppy work,and not many care as long as the job gets done...
Hopefully you are a more conscientious worker then that. Right?

Unfortunately, the work place brings out the worst in some of us.Those who see the workplace as a constant competion to jockey for "position" rarely have high moral standards and would sell their mothers if they could gain from doing so.
It's wrong, but it's the way it is.

Unfortunately, people do it. But it is not right. Standards that are right in the bible, or in the consciences of truth loving people are not only right in one place, but wherever you are. To mislead someone for your personal gain is wrong wherever you are. If you are having trouble looking yourself in the face because you are being expected to compromise your morals or self respect, you should find another line of work.
