In Florida and other places on the East Coast a group of people are putting HIV/AIDS infected and filled needles underneath gas pump handles, so when someone reaches to pick it up and put gas in their car, they get stabbed with it. 16 people have been a victim of this crime so far and 10 tested HIV positive. Instead of posting that stupid crap about how your love life will suck for years to come if you don't re-post, post this. It's important to inform people. Even if you don't drive, a family member might and what if they were next? CHECK UNDER THE HANDLE BEFORE YOU GRAB IT!!! IT MIGHT SAVE YOUR LIFE! PLEASE tell as many people as you can about this serious issue.

WILL YOU TELL OTHER PEOPLE ABOUT THIS ISSUE?

This is just another urban legend. I have been getting those emails for a couple of years now. There has never been an actual incident of someone finding a needle on the handle of a gas pump!

That is a rumor. Go to snopes.com and they say that it is a rumor. There have been cases where needles have been left in pay phones and other places but no one has yet gotten infected with HIV/AIDS. That is sent as an email also and it has had many different versions over the years.

If someone is not infected, then you won't get it. But, why take someone's word for it. Always be safe...unless you know (like seen the test say negative) that they are safe.

Has this been documented? HIV can't live very long outside the human body.

I've heard about this and I've passed the word even though I don't live in that area. That's a shame for people to do stuff like that.
