Yes it's normal. Your piercing can take any where from 6 months to a full year to properly heal. The clear liquid is nothing to worry about. You'll know if it gets infected 'cause the liquid won't be clear and it usually has a bad smell to it. Also, when it's infected there's usually a small bump filled with puss around your piercing. That's gross I know but it's actually really common for naval piercings to become infected so make sure you take good care of it and steer clear from pools and Jacuzzis for the next couple of months.

As long as the liquid is clear, you are fine. Its lymph which is okay. Keep cleaning it with liquid dial, remove any crust from the jewelry and soak with sea salt and warm water.
If that liquid becomes yellow or green you have an infection and it's best to consult a doctor at that point.
I've had lots of piercings, 23. No infections.
I'm also a piercer :-)

Oh yea. Expect alot of things to come out for the first month until it heals most of the way. Just keep it clean and move the bar around, but only after you have washed tour hands, thats the best way to insure an infection, touching it with unwashed hands. It should heal pretty fast as long as it dosent get infected. Wait to change the ring for about 3-4 months. Get it to heal properly and you will havea cool addition to yourself!

Did you pierce it or have a professional do it for you? My daughter has a pierced belly button and I can tell you what they told her. First, you must allow 6 months for it to heal before changing the jewelry. The skin around the belly does not heal as fast as a pierced ear. You probably should clean it. I would use a saline solution. You can even buy the saline solution that people use on contact lenses. If it reddens or gets sore, I would remove the piercing, let it heal and then try again another time.

I suggest doing natural sea salt solution soaks get sea salt from a health food store then mix about 1/4 tbsp in a half cup of water in a clean disposable plastic cup and sucction it to your stomach. I did this twice a day for about 3 months and never had any problems. Always use a clean cup and a clean paper towel. Don't touch it with your hands or dirty clothes/towels.

it is completly normal. I got mine peirced and when the stuff was coming out,i called the person who did it, and he said it will go away if you kep it clean. YOU DO NOT HAVE AN INFECTION, so dont believe anyone if that is what they say. So just keep it clean, and it will go away. It is very normal for that to happen

as long as the liquid is clear instead of yellow, green, or brown (yeah, gross) you're good. Those colors are the signs of infection!
