I've been wrestling with the same question. We could use the extra seating, but minivans just don't seem to be as durable (and don't even get me started on the "cool" factor.

The two front runners in my book:

Honda Pilot - 8 passenger seating, but while it is a bit large it is not nearly as big as some of the other great hulking SUVs with a 3rd row seat.

Toyota Rav4 - Available with a 3rd row seat. Even though it is a smaller SUV it seats 7, gets 26 mpgs, is very peppy with the 6 cylinder engine, and the way the 3rd row seat stows you don't loose any cargo room. The down side is that because the spare is on the door it swings open rather than lifts like a hatchback. Since the hinges are on the right, if you park on the cub and need to unload something you have to walk around the door. This is a problem if you are parallel parked.

I easily have a ninety 8 stay sparkling of Grand Caravan. The gas financial gadget is better than a extensive SUV, and there are convenience issues... like, means domicile windows, new child locks, the sliding doorways. i like it via doorways for the main area, extraordinarily considering the fact that my son is 9 months previous and that i nonetheless would desire to %. a stroller everywhere with me, that is super to be waiting to take the seats out and in. It additionally drives like a automobile, that's effective. My fiance has a huge kinfolk so a brilliant form of the circumstances i'm transporting a brilliant form of individuals, that's effective to have that plenty seating. yet, i do in comparison to attempting to park that huge bus, most of the time that is purely my son, fiance and that i... so we don't prefer all that greater room, curiously all Caravans make a unusual and wonderful ticking sound, although that is incredibly complicated. I easily have had to get a clean transmission interior the three years I easily have had it. i'm contained available in the marketplace for procuring a clean SUV. some can are available in Hybrid, which solves the gas financial gadget undertaking. i'm not sure what proportion trucks are available in four wheel tension, or AWD (My van is 2WD) i understand i would not have plenty junk in my motor vehicle if i did not have as plenty room, that's effective. i'm hoping I helped rather. solid success, i'm interested in this question, and am curious as to what human beings think of.
