Strengthening your back muscles with stretches. You would be best suited to seek a professional opinion with this. I had physical therapy for my back after a bad car accident and PT helped more than anything any pill could have done.

It depends on what the cause of your back pain is. I have recently found that the cause of my lower back pain which i thought was arthritis is in fact a partially crushed disc. I personally have found that keeping my weight down so that i'm not carrying any excess weight helps as does staying mobile, mainting good posture and stretching excercises such as standing whilst touching your toes (or close enough!).If your job involves sitting for long periods then try to stretch your legs as often as possible.Perhaps a chiropractor would be better educated to help you. Hope this helps.

There are several things that you can do. I have suffered from lower back pain for years. Just recently I have been doing yoga and a lot of sit ups. I have gone to chiropractors but I would have to say the strengthening of the abdominal muscles and the stretching involved with yoga has worked the best. Best of luck.

Total health and well being is linked to three things. Excercise, balanced low glycemic diet, and high quality nutritionals. I know this sounds crazy for back pain but think about it. Your back pain probablly comes from any number of sources, but the fact will always remain if you don't do the proper thing to heal it it will always be there. I recommend first a good regement of high quality supplements to give yourself the building blocks, second try going for a 20-30 min walk 5x a week followed up with a healthy low glycemic diet! You will be amazed at your results!

Try water exercise, do at your own pace, stand straight, hold onto the edge and slowly bring your knee ac cross the mid line of your body. one side and then the other. Regular water exercise will help strengthen core spine muscles and that helps alleviate painful lumbar region.
Try the local Y for a pool, look for water temp 80 or higher
good luck

go to a chiropractor or physical therapist. they will give you manual adjustments and also treatments. it sounds weird, but electric stimulation and ultrasound actually help ease low back pain. the therapist will also give you low back exercises and stretches you can work on at home. also, alot of people make the mistake of only doing crunches and abdominal exercises, and neglecting to work their low back muscles. this leaves you with an unbalanced core. strong abs and a weak back will cause low back pain, so make sure you are keeping everything balanced.
