The details of the NAFTA Super Highway are hidden in plan view. Still, Bush has not given speeches to bring the NAFTA Super Highway plans to the full attention of the American public. Missing in the move toward creating a North American Union is the robust public debate that preceded the decision to form the European Union. All this may be for calculated political reasons on the part of the Bush Administration.

A good reason Bush does not want to secure the border with Mexico may be that the administration is trying to create express lanes for Mexican trucks to bring containers with cheap Far East goods into the heart of the U.S., all without the involvement of any U.S. union workers on the docks or in the trucks.

I think we have enough federal highways that criss-cross the nation as it is.

What's the purpose of this super highway? it's probably to get all the "used to be made American goods now made in Mexico goods" up to consumers in Canada!

We need to put a tariff on goods from China just like they do to ours! That will get America back to work and creating a strong economy.

And while we are at it, slap a surcharge on all cargo containers coming into American Ports to pay for screening of ALL containers.

I've heard of this. It really did not seem to be too important to me. Perhaps I'm a touch concerned about the call for Muslims to leave America because the American Heroshima has just been promised by Osama's buddy.

We already have a bunch of highways across the nation. Is this going to be something like the autobahn? I would be ok with that.

just read a little about it. sounds like bush and a true republican union buster. they will use a port in mexico to bypass us ports and the longshoreman's union. also using cheap mexican truck drivers to pass over the teamsters union. big surprise! not

what's the issue. We have dozens of roads across our country. One more will hardly make a difference. Will it?
