I had a white cotton shirt with a grease stain...I put bleach on it and it took away the grease stain but left a pale yellow bleach stain....is there anyway to get that out...or is it ruined?

Try peroxide. It is magic.

Im a dry cleaner so I see this 20 times a day. Bleach DOES NOT remove grease. The yellow stain is actually the grease after it has reacted with the chlorine. Bleach can take the "color" of the grease stain out(i.e) spaghetti sauce..chilli or whatever it was..but the oil is still there. Take your shirt to your local dry cleaner and ask them to treat it with a product called "P.O.G" for grease stains. Itll come out..no problem at all!

If it was the bleach, then there's nothing else to get it out I would think. You should have used dish soap for the greese. Dish soup are meant for greesy dishes, so it works well on grease stains too.

You could just try bleach again, and use it full strength right on the spot. If you bleached a colored shirt, you'd be out of luck, but since it's white, you have a good chance of getting it white again. Good luck!

Laundering the shirt over and over will eventually remove the residue. Just don't put it in the dryer.
