Not all homeless people have AIDS and a lot of rich people have AIDS (Hello, Magic Johnson ^_~) Not all homeless people do drugs, and lots of rich people do.
Also, If you were homeless, would you eat your dog? (In some countries, dogs are considered food so it isn't impossible..)
If you analyz your statement, it is highly classist and prejudiced. Classism is just as bad as racism, agism, genderism/sexism etc. Basically, your statement is harmful to your fellow human beings because it perpetuates stereotypes that might limit people's access to resources, and protection.
I have been homeless before. I am currently living on somebody's couch. I do not do drugs, I am a 4.0 college student, and I have absolutely zero STD's
An intelligent thing to do, when asking questions and receiving answers that might go counter to what your previous notions regarding your question, is research in order to find where the discrepencies happen between your previous information, and new conflicting information. I have provided links below.

Summary: Homelessness is more the cause of how society is put together by each member of society, than the fault of the individual.
"Poverty, or stratification by social class, was the first sociological variable ever looked into as a possible cause of crime. Some sociologists would say religion was the first sociological variable, but the field of criminology claims a slightly different heritage. There are two reasons why social class and poverty in particular came to become of interest: (1) it was an enduring social problem in all societies across time, like crime; and (2) it was suspected that something in the causes of poverty were the same as the causes of crime. The heart of the criminological mode of inquiry, from the start of the sociological perspective, was that deviant behavior and crime were NOT the inherent properties of individuals, but were instead the results of a series of relationships characteristic of a given society, and unfolding together with (much more than unfolding against) the development, or progress, of that society. In other words, things like poverty and crime seemed like things that were here to stay, as part and parcel of any given society. In a sense, nothing could be more sociological than that, although sociologists came to relegate that particular approach to the functionalist backburners of their discipline."

You are kind of a sicko. Why would they eat the only creature that enjoys their company? Dogs don't care if you stink, or if they sleep on the cold hard ground, or if they don't get a meal 3 times a day. If I had to take one thing with me and become homeless, I'd take my dog. He's one of the few things in life that doesn't cause me more grief.
