first thing is to prevent the veto being wielded by a single country (either no veto, or each country having half/a third of a veto).
doesn't have to have permanent members, but if so: US, China, Germany, Russia, India, Brazil, Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, Indonesia. alternatively, rotate all seats but allow members to be voted on for more than one term (at the moment temporary members only serve one 2-year term)
there's no real reason why my country (UK) and France should continue to "punch above their weight" in world affairs.
i really think UN reform is essential and also believe that we should create a global parliament (not based on nations)

I think the UN should be dissolved. It does nothing for the US. It costs US taxpayers billions. It performs no useful functions. Humanitarian aid can be done by volunteers without the expense of diplomats.
