it keeps hiding somewhere and Clark Pest Control can't come out until tomorrow. Is there something in the food realm I can use to attract it so I can kill it.......I want my happy room back....nothing freaks me out like a multiple stinging insect in a closed environment!

I want to feed it so its occupied on a plate and I can kill it, then I can search the room to see where it came in. The Pest control company will be out in the morning to check the eaves and attic space.....its happened twice in three days so I am a bit freaked....

All of my life I have been terrified of bees, hornets and wasps; it's a phobia of mine - I panic, and I mean panic, and I run. And ordinarily, if I found a wasp in my living room I would be out of my apartment so fast, it would make your head spin ... and I wouldn't go back in until I found someone, anyone, a neighbor, the super, to go in my apartment and get rid of it.
But on this particular occasion I was standing in the kitchen when something flew by my nose, so close I recoiled before I even knew what it was - and it was a wasp. I had a cat who wasn't quite full grown at the time and he came tearing into the kitchen chasing the wasp. So I was more afraid for my cat than myself, and although I was shaking from head to toe, I remembered my father once telling me to open the windows - they will head for an open window and that's what I did. And sure enough, the wasp flew out of the kitchen and flew at the living room windows, with my cat right behind it. My windows had screens so I knew I would have to trap it if it landed on the screen or kill it if it landed on the window. I was prepared, I had a rolled up magazine in my hand and as soon as it landed on the glass part of the window I swatted it and got it. I couldn't believe I had actually done that, or that I could move that fast - me, who would run a mile in the opposite direction if I saw a wasp. But my cat was going beserk chasing this thing and I was scared to death it would sting him.
So, I don't know if I would recommend attacking it as I did - I was probably lucky I didn't get stung. But if you're fast, go for it!
But in those moments I remembered all the things my father had told me - open the windows and stay out of its way; it will eventually make its way to the windows. Also as far food goes - honey in a bowl - or (a lot) sugar in water - a bowl of fruit with sugar on it, or even diluted vinegar in a bowl - for some strange reason they are attracted to vinegar. Have you ever been to a fish and chip truck and ever noticed sometimes how many wasps, hornets it can attract?
Good Luck!!!

Try something really sweet on a plate (like coke or fruit), or perhaps open a window with a screen on it. Sometimes they are attracted to the air. GL hon. I'm the same way. It does sound like there is a nest encased somewhere in the home. Make sure they check any siding around the windows as well. A small exposed corner is all it takes.

Put up one of those sticky fly papers. They work for wasps hornets, all those icky things!
Or you could get some spray too but that sort of requires that you can find it.
I know it's amazing but I just read a few nights ago that bees are just as terrified as you and are trying to find a way out! I didn't think anything could possibly be as scared as me!

Turn the ac on, it makes them groggy.
A fly swatter usually suffices, but looking for a nest is good.
If you can get him in a window, a plastic cup & piece of stiff paper or thin cardboard is good. Trap it against the window or a wall, & slide the paper/cardboard in between the cup & window or wall...the transport it outside. That is what I do.

Well if it's a hornet, I say go ahead and kill it(unless you're allergic pr prone to injuries). But if it's a wasp, stay away, because if you kill it the other wasps will smell it's blood and come.
