They're just a little dirty, looks like something got spilled on one of them, but they're in too nice of shape to just toss them.

Also, whatever spilled on them got on the laces too, so I was sort of hoping to completely submerge them either in the sink or washer, whatever is better.

If the shoe laces are white, soak them in a glass with bleach and water. Sneakers can be washed in the washing machine, You can also put them in the dryer, but you must put some large towels or else you will hear the sneakers every time it tumbles.

I've put sneakers in the washing machine. When I take them out I put them somewhere warm - out in the sunshine or next to the heater - depending on the season. I always pull the tongues back and let plenty of air inside. My mom always threw them in the dryer, but that was the cloth ones. I don't know if you can do that with the leather or vinyl ones.

putting shoes in the washer machine is a HORRIBLE idea. depending on the material of the shoe, it really all depends. if its just your typical leather shoe, get some leather cleaner at any shoe store. ideally you want to get some kind of shoe cleaner and use an old tootbrush to massage the dirt out. once clea, wipe off with a dry rag any excess. if the shoe is suede, get a seude eraser and seude brush to get out any dirt.

I always throw mine in the washer but not in the dryer, use regular washing soap and no more than warm water. The dryer will tear them up.

FInd shoe shampooo. It's a foamy spray, and you let it sit there for a bit, and wipe away!
