I'm planning to go to London for 6 month, and maybe more.

I heard about economic flat share, it might be helpfull for the first month, time to get a job and find another appartment according to the place I'll work in.

Can someone recommand me a place?

I have a preference for the center, camden, islington or westminster. I know they aren't in the cheaper areas, but if I can choose...

I know those places aren't cheap, and neither is London, in general, but I'm going to work there, so I won't have to spend all my money in travel cards. I heard about gumtree, but what I'm looking for is a kind of great flat share, with 5 or 6 bedrooms in a house, just for the first weeks, and then I'll look for a "real" flat share, when I'm there...

Hi, I have been living in central london all my life, was born and raised here. Yes, flat prices these days are very expensive, I live near In Camden.

If I were you, I would go to the citizens advice bureau, or the local council and see if they can help you find a suitable flat. If you know anyone else who is willing to split the flat with you, as to divide the costs, then yes, you could afford the more expensive flats.

Where I live, my parents only pay around £300-£400 a month for a 1 bedroom flat, but only because we have been living here for 18 years. Nowadays, it would cost £600-£1000 a month.

I would buy the Loot paper - also look on www.gumtree.com

Look at somewhere in Zone 2 that is on a good bus route - that way you will pay less than an area with a tube line. Central areas are normally more expensive.
