Yes, there's pink diamonds, yellow, brown, champagne, blue, purple..I haven't seen green yet.

It's all in the gases that were involved in the formation. HOWEVER, I read that you can lab-create colors in a diamond, so if you're shopping around, make sure it's a natural color not a lab-created color.

And yes, they can irradiate a diamond to make it pink, but this takes a very particular type of diamond to start with - so even color-treated, they are very rare. I'm not sure if there is truly such a thing as a pink diamond, my dear. But what you're referring to may be gem or ruby. For these stones to have a touch of mixed colors in them has to do with the impurity of the stones when they were formed. These impuities could be caused by metal ions or other ions that plaques the stones during the formation process for them to have exotic looking colors or tones to them. Chemistry II or III classes will teach you in depth of how this can occur. good enough, yes?
