I have a staff infection, and the doctor told me to drain out the puss as much as possible. Somtimes its yellow, others its clear. Y?

When you are draining it, make sure that everything is sterile and wash your hands afterwards so it doesn't spread to any other area. I believe the yellow is the infection/bacteria, and the clear liquid is just water.

That would be a staph infection. Staph is a type of bacteria. Changes in the color of the pus may be due to the number of bacteria that was in the pus at the time.

Too bad. I had a staph infection in my toenail. They had to dig it out, along with the root. Those are brutal. Where is this infection?

this is how pus looks like, staphylococcus infectins can be mild or severe, stay in touch with you doctor, good luck
