what is the procedure for finding out how and to whom to pitch a television series concept ?

I have an idea and an outline for a pilot movie, that i think would fit into USA's format for original programming very nicely, but I don't know who to contact or how to present my idea so it will be taken seriously. HELP!!!

You need to write a "Treatment" describing the series idea. Should be about 7-10 pages. Then contact an agent. It is nearly impossible to be taken seriously without an agent or a relative in the business. If the agent wants to charge you for you being a client, they are a scam artist and should be avoided.

It should be noted it is easier to get in the NFL than to get a series greenlighted.
