See if magnetism affects plant growth. It's fairly simple to do, although I seem to remember not finding any similar studies done for the research portion. To do this all you would do is take some plants, it doesn't matter what kind, and plant them. Do 10 unmagnetized and 10 magnetized. To magnetize them put a few magnets in the soil when you plant them, and voila! Measure the growth every day and see if the magnets effect their rate or how many leaves they have or how green they are, or whatever other factors you can think of. Easy A project which requires little to no time, and will stun your teacher with originality. Good luck!

Well, how old are you?
Which freezes faster? Ice water or salt water (if you're a young'un).
Which decays teeth faster...sugar water or diet Coke? (use an eggshell instead of teeth).
Does seed density affect rate of germination?...(put five seeds in soil in a cup, ten seeds in soil in a cup, and one seed in soil in a cup).
