I lost my mucus plug a couple of days ago and also experienced some yellow watery discharge today. I am having cramps right now,like the ones you get with your period. I am 37 weeks and dialated 2-3cm or so. My back will hurt off and on. Could this be contractions or what could it be?
I also have gestational diabetes if that makes a difference..not sure.

Can the cramping be contractions..? Isnt that what contractions feel like strong on and off cramping? I have been feeling tired today, I always thought you get a burst of energy when labor is near?

I did in fact loose the plug,it was just how they say it would be mucusy with blood tinged in it.

Honey I do believe you are in labor. CONGRATS!!! now go to the hospital when they are 5 minutes apart

Sounds like you could be getting close!? I had period like cramps during the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy but I thought I had lost my mucus plug but turned out to be just extra discharge that looked gluey. Are you sure it was your mucus plug? I would say from the sound of it that it could be contractions. Good luck!

sounds like you had a show,,, and the back pain can be back labour, i had contraction pains in front and back,,the contractions are normally like the braxton hicks but more painful, yes like period pain, you may need to have amidwife check you to see how you are progressing,,, good luck,,

start keeping track of when they start and stop. if they are getting closer to gether call the doctor and go into the hospital. your already on your way to delivery good luck and congrats on the new little one
