Apart from the obvious cockney sterotypes, the east end is generally poorer with more social housing and now a big Asian community. The west end is posher and the mobile people tend to come in and out more, buying expensive houses and be very transient in the community. I bet you would find that a large perecentage of east enders including the newer Asians have lived there for some while, maybe 30 years or more, whereas the demographics of the west end tend towards people who have only come in for 5 or so years.

Well if we are going along with stereotypes then:

East enders - speak with a cockney accent, generally poor, live on council estates, working class.

It's harded to say what west enders are like because west london is a huge and varied area. Strictly the term 'west end' refers to the entertainment area of West London where the theatres are.

If you use the term 'west enders' to refer to people from west london in general, west london is more prosperous than east london so lots of people there are professionals, reasonably well off, don't speak in cockney.
