I got a positive on a pregnancy test almost ten days before my period was due with my first... however I did have very irregular periods so it depends on that as well. Most women don't ovulate til two weeks after their period and then once you do get pregnant it takes time for your body to product enough chemicals to be picked up by a pregnancy test.
If you are that worried buy a two pack pregnancy test take one now and save the other for later. That way if this one comes back negative you can test again if your next period is late. Good luck.

nope , i was never putting thought into the whole pregnant thing until i was 6 days late ha ha ha . but a friend who was trying to conceive did get an early positive but when her period came she realized that she wasn't pregnant. a lot of woman can be pregnant and lose a baby and just think it's a regular period so wait for a while and test when you are a week late. i personally think that testing that early brings a lot of false hope to woman. i miss calculated my period once and did a test it was positive 3 days later i started my period and realized i had counted the same week on the calender twice . i thought i was a week late , but i was right on time.

You are either pregnant now or are still carrying the hormones in your body from the last pregnancy.

Its very unusual to get a false positive reading, as long as you did the test right.

I don't know if you can get such an early positive, but it could be possible that you may still be carrying pregnancy hormones from your previous pregnancy, although some 7 weeks later its unlikely. I would get to your doctor and get referred for a scan asap.
