I want to get pregnant, but my period doesn't come for 1 or 2 months straight. I've already tried getting pregnant for about a year now. Is it harder for me to conceive? I don't know what to do.

When I got pregnant with my first I had very irregular periods. We are talking a week to two months in between periods. As long as you are ovulating it is possible to get pregnant it is just going to be harder than it is for most women. The good news is that pregnancy usually helps to even out your periods making pregnancy easier after you have your first.
Most ovulation kits you can get at the store will not help in your situation. Your best bet is a doctor. They can test to make sure there is nothing wrong and give you meds to help your body to produce more eggs. And help to regulate your period so it is easier to know when to work at it. :)
Good Luck.

You will be able to but you need to go see a doctor(fertility Dr), they are able to help you with you trying to conceive. I tried for 4 yrs or more and I never had a normally cycle. I use to start my cycle and stay on for 2 to 6 months or I wouldn't see it for 2 to 6 months, I had 3 blood transfusions and 4 surgical D/C because of my mess up period cycle and it started at the age of 16 and lasted until I was 25 and got worst as I got older. When I went to a fertility doctor I found out that i had a insulin unbalance and needed to be put on medication and I finally came on and went off like I was suppose to. I am a plus size girl (size 18 ) so I had problems with insulin unbalance but if you are smaller it could be something else. check with a doctor that is the only way to find out. Good Luck~~~~~

i have been ttc for a 1 1/2 and nothing now i dont go to months without a cycle but i have gone as long as 55 days before. It is alot harder to concive when you miss your periods like that. Infact when they are that far apart doctors say that you dont ovulate so that month you will not get pregnant. I am going through almost the same thing. I am so tired of having sex it is not fun for me any more. Any way the doctor put me on provera which makes you start your period and then they put on clomid which is supposed to make you ovulate. I did one cycle of that becuase i had my period on aug 11 and then took clomid well i went to the doctor to see if i ovulated and i didn't . The day before i went to the doctor i started my period again. They wanted to do another dose of clomid but i said lets wait to see if i started my period by the 16th and i did start. According to the doctor i was supposed to start around the 9th but came on the 16th . I have called the doctor to let them know. But i am not going to take any more meds and let my body get back to normal. to me ttc is like a science experiment you have to figure out when the body is realseing ang egg. There are ovulation kits at the stores try that. Don't do your temp doesn't work. Go to the doctor and discuss all your options, but before you go make sure you research and do everything possible because it is expensive that why i have not followed through on the rest of fertility treatment. they say if you have been ttc for over a year then go to the doctor. I just pray to god that one day i will be blessed with a child . I am trying to take everyones elses advice and just let it hapeen and focus my entergy on other things in my life. good luck and hope this helps. i hope i answered all your questions

I would go to your doctor for a simple blood test to check your hormones. Most doctors believe you should try to conceive for a year prior to seeking fertility unless there is an obvious cause (lack of ovulation). I knew for my first pregnancy fertility treatments were required because I lacked periods. After birth my periods were very irregular (months apart), when it came time to conceive again after 6 months of trying we went back to the fertility experts. If you really want to be pregnant now start with your OBGYN. Good Luck.

there is continually a danger, it may take a lengthy time period, sorry, yet there is an threat. I have continually had abnormal classes and that i have an 18 month previous immediately. we also attempt to conceive back and we knew moving into that it will take awhile, after a year of attempting you could start up getting help by making use of a few meds. Clomid is less expensive, maximum coverage covers it and from what i have researched it has minimum undesirable consequences and in many circumstances works interior the first few months! solid luck!

I have very irregular periods as well and I have conceived four times. It did take me a while, but the main thing is timing. First of all make sure that you are ovulating. You may not be ovulating and then you will definitely need something to get that going. Once you know how to track your ovulation, then that is when you time your intercourse. It may take a bit to get the timing right, but be patient!!

i have irregular periods too and it took a little while to get pregnant. have you tried using ovulation predictors? unfortunately its all about timing. also, have you talked to your doctor? if not make an appointment and he/she can also help to try and get your cycle under control. they may put you on the pill for a few months to try and regulate it. good luck, and don't give up hope. you will get pregnant!

I believe that you could still get pregnant it might just take longer but if you should talk to your Dr. they should know what you should be doing to get pregnant. And you keep missing your periods you should talk to your Dr. about that. There could be a underline reason to why your having missing periods.

You need to see a fertility Dr.

You can begin improving your chances by taking 400mcg of Folic Acid Vitamin Supplements a day. (you can buy this at any grocery store) This WORKS!
