I think that by not wanting to ask your doctor, you probably already know the answer. Diet pills aren't safe, with or without any perscriptions.

No, it is not safe to take any diet pill while on paxil. Did you know it's not even safe to take cold or cough medicine while on paxil? (it can cause serotonin syndrome and also, in rare cases, strokes) Did you know that weight gain and insomnia are the #1 side effects of paxil in the first place? (paxil represses REM cycles and allows build-up of cortisol in the body due to liver constraints) In fact, you are upping your risks by taking paxil and wellbutrin together - this combination can cause toxicity in the blood.

I'll bet you're taking wellbutrin to offset the side effects of paxil. See the site below for the facts on paxil and other SSRIs, and ask questions there. They are dangerous, as the makers of paxil (GlaxoSmith Kline) lied about the clinical trials in order to speed the FDA acceptance. They have been found out, and although the spreading of the truth is slow, it is still beginning to be circulated. Know the facts.

No! It's not even safe to take paxil and wellbutrin together! You poor pill popper! I wonder why you want to kill your appetite, trying to lose weight perhaps? All those prescriptions cannot do for you what your devinely designed body can do for itself. I respect that it's your body (and brain) to do with as you see fit, but I do have a few suggestions for you:
1) Investigate a healing diet. The best one is organic vegan raw. Check out www.ecopolitan.com
2) Find a good counselor who can talk you through the issues that are making you feel depressed (rather than just covering up your feelings with drugs)
3) Go get some hugs! They may not cure you, but you'll feel better!
4) Do all of the above, but be patient and kind with yourself, please

Please don't screw around with info from this site regarding meds. Check with your doc. What is good for one person is not necessarily the answer for the next. Try cutting your calorie intake first, and add exercise to that in a couple of weeks. It will also make your endorphins come into play and you will want to do more.

when I was on Paxil, the warnings said not to take with any diet pills, so I think you will have to check with your doctor or risk the side affects that may be bad!!
