No way, I am surprised it went under $3, it will be going back up again and they will feed us another lame excuse!!!

Yes.......

If we get through the rest of hurricane season without any disruption to the refineries and the Gulf of Mexico oil rigs

If we have a mild winter and oil that would have gone to home heating fuel can be converted into gasoline.

If there are no major terrorist attacks against oil interests.

And if we continue to conserve and keep demanding cars with better gas mileage and not SUVs that get 6 miles per gallon.

A lot of ifs, but it is possible. We are down to 2.19 in places in South Carolina.

No. Consider yourself lucky it's under $3.00 a gal. I was In Japan in the late 50s. Gas was $2.00 a gal.back then. Were lucky.

Same as lifeoftheparty's answer. Gas was $1.99 here (St. Louis)last weekend at select stations.

not in the long run.....the world is running out of gas and it might eventually be as costly as diamonds (like in that simpsons episode where mr. burns wanted to make fuel out of a diamond instead of selling it)
