I get them too, I call them charlie horses, they are so painful. I hate them! It is a lack of calcium and potassium.

Cramps in your muscles is because you don't have enough water, magnesium, or potassium in your system. That is why they say to eat bananas (potassium) for period pains. I don't think it has anything to do with HRT. Try taking a multi-vitamin every day, and drink more water. Or if you exercise, make sure you are warming up beforehand.

i would say yes possibly. as they r hormones, i got leg cramps during the night during both my pregnancies which is also when hormones are going wild.
talk 2 ur doctor or practice nurse

hey there, i get these cramps alot. it seems to come from a lack of salt in my diet. perhaps you could try increasing your intake slightly. also, you could also try looking at the nhs direct website - there may be extra helpful info on there! good luck :)

you are going to laugh at this ,I was a home carer and this old lady told me to unwrap a new bar of soap and put at the bottom of the bed ,,,,it works another old one is a magnet havn`t had to try that one

most women usually have problems with their bones when they reach menopause. my neighbour needs a few minutes to stand after she sits down for a while. get your doctor to check for arthritis
