He is obviously very frustrated. For the longest time he could do pretty much what he wanted especially when he was quite popular. His policies have failed him and like any leader he thinks he needs more power to support his agenda. He also thinks he is right on everything. A dangerous thing for any leader even in a democracy.

No one is writing a bill to allow torture. You seem to be in the same rut with Senator McCain. Interrogation techniques are not torture. If you listened to the news with an open mind, you would understand that the Supreme Court once again overstepped it's and came up with a ruling so cockamamie, that Congress cannot deal with it.
President Bush completed his military duty. This issue has been dead ever since Dan Rather was dumped for his disgraceful behavior. The fact that you bring it up now shows me you are prejudiced against the President.

Torture the terrorists? Heaven forbid. No, we have to let them watch tv, have access to the internet, have social time with the other terrorists to plot their escapes...
We can't offend them!! Oh, no, that might make them not like us, which will make the rest of the world not like us, and then what will we do, since all that matters is if everyone likes us.
NOT. Terrorists are not the same as political prisoners.

He lacks the intellectual capacity to grasp the larger implications of his actions, and so only acts upon the impulses of the moment.
You know, like a five-year-old.

It doesn't affect him directly, he gets the Jollies over using torture, not surprised that he does this.
