The chances are slim to none. Try another test, a different brand if you can. If it is positive, then I would say you are definitely pregnant.

Chances are the test is accurate and you are pregnant. There have been many incidents of false negatives but, false positives is very rare. You're right, the test is designed to pick up a certain amount of the pregnancy hormone HCG, therefore if it's there the test will read positive. Best of luck to you. :)

It is very very very rare to get a false positive... you are right about the hcg hormone, that is the pregnancy hormone that pregnancy test pick up on so if your pregnancy test says positive I would say you are around 3-4 weeks pregnant. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

a negative can be wrong a positive is a positive. you are very right there has to be hgc in the urine to give a positive result , during pregnancy this hormone is emitted a lot more and on high levels so when you see a positive , well your gonna have a baby!

You can get a false positive if the test was old. The best way to know for sure is to see your doctor and have them do a blood test.

A pg test works by reading if your urine has any hormone
called HCG in you. This is only produced by pregnancy.
Although you can have what's called a chemical pg.

Your best bet is to see your GP and have blood drawn. It's
100% accurate.

it is very very unlikely to get a false positive.. if it detected the hormone your pregnant. A falst negative can happen if you took the test to soon but a positive means your pregnant 99 times out of 100... Congratulations !!

There is no such thing as a false positive pregnancy test because of the hormones that your body produces
