Did you see a doctor? Go to the hospital? The purpose of legal action for damages would be to restore you to the way you were before the accident -- or repay you for expenses incurred because of the accident. (The assumption here is that it was not your fault in any way [note of caution: the rules of "who is at fault" and "how much fault," depends upon which state you are in]). That being said... if you incurred medical expenses, you can seek damages to pay you back for the expenses that the accident cost you. This is what I believe that you mean by "sue" but, it's not necessarily a lawsuit. You can get compensation for the damages without a full-blown lawsuit. Contact a personal injury lawyer in your area and ask them about your situation -- for the best advice. Good luck.

You possibly can for pain and suffering but more than likely that wouldn't go over. You can possibly sue for lost wages or out of pocket medical expenses if this accident was at no fault of yours at all. You may be able recover maybe half if you were found partly responsisble. One question though was your life put on hold so much that you would need to sue?

You might if you are kept off your work or something. Why would you want to sue? For money? Don't do that. People today want easy money and they don't care if they have to step or kill someone to do it. What goes around comes around. Do you want to be sued later in life?
