. . . "polly" is almost right -
Your own service provider can trace the calls. You need to report the matter and they will instruct you how to enter and identify when you receive a call which they will then trace.
They cannot give you the caller's details but will give the details to the Police.
You need to make a Statement and get a crime Reference Number from the Police (both the Police and your Service Provider will look for an assurance at the beginning of all of this that you will prosecute). Believe me, some hassle to start up - but it works! . . .

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://backgroundreports.im/
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

It depends. If they are texting from an unregistered pay as you go mobile, it could be very hard to trace. If they are doing it from a contract phone, it will be easy. If you call the customer service department of your mobile provider and explain the problem, they will be able to advise you, especially as you have the number they are texting from.
What they are doing is an illegal offence, so be sure to save any messages they send, and do report them to the police, they may be able to help with the tracing and if caught, the person could be prosecuted for harrassment.
If you want to find who is calling you, use your landline to call them but dial 141 before dialling their number so, for example, if their number was 079777799779 then dial 141079777799779 and your number wont show up on their caller display, they may well answer it if they dont realise it is you. Dont do it straight after they have sent a text, as they may well be using their call divert function when they do this, so that would be why your calls are going straight to voicemail.
If you call them from your mobile, go into your phones setting menu and turn off the caller display function. They may answer your call. If you dont get through to them though, i would urge you to report them both to the police first, and then your mobile provider. For your mobile company to help, you will hae to notify the police anyway, but as they are targetting you and your family, I would certainly report them. Best of luck.

hi there,
this happened to me a few years ago, things have most likely improved since then, i was gettin silent phone calls and txt messages from a girl, i knew who it was but couldnt prove it first time round because her mobile phone wasnt registared with a service provider, i contacted the police and had to keep a log of calls etc, this happened over a year and the police were contacted several times, they eventually traced the landline and mobile number but i never got any were, the police refused to do any thing about it because it was my husbands bit on the side, so i suffered calls for a further few months until she eventaully give up, he got a quick exit from my house now she can fone him all she wants lol
hope u have more luck than me, but id still reccomend the police, keep a log of times and texts thats ur edivence
good luck

If you are having problems with abusive text messages / calls from a particular number, you can start by telling your network provider. They will be able to work out which network the other phone is on and will have contacts within that network. They will be able to advise you on what course of action they or you can take to stop the problem. You may be wise to save the SMS's to prove to your network that you have a problem. So, call customer services and they should contact the company network security dept, and take it from there. Good luck.

Log onto your account on your provider's website. Look for your message options. You may be able to block that number. It worked with Sprint when my ex was sending dozens of text messages a day.
