10 year with company and new one is offering me a lot more money- what other reasons should i take into consideration

Being in the same job for 10 years shows stability (thats good) and you must have been (probably still are?) happy with your current employers. Don't change just for the money, definitely not.

There are always companies who go "headhunting" but the devil you know may be far better than the one you don't, you could regret it if it was a wrong choice.

My serious suggestion is that you speak to your present bosses and tell them what the other company is offering and say that you are being seriously tempted by the money - If I was your present boss and had been happy with you for 10 years I'd look very seriously at trying to persuade you stay by matching or bettering the other offer to dissuade you from being tempted again in a hurry. Only after seeing their reaction and what they would offer to keep you will you know your true worth !

Time in your company is a good reason to move - 10 years is very long, so your current pay will almost certainly have fallen behind industry rates, and your skills are probably getting limited (maybe that's just an IT concern?)

You must feel unappreciated at your present job. The money you are being offered for the new job is probably what you should be getting at the old one.
As my B*****d boss says 'Why pay them more? They won't work any harder.
Move take a chance!

Career, job satisfaction, location, prospects.

10 years is a long time to be in one company. My longest is 3 years - and even then I was concerned about stagnating.

Tell the firm your with that you have been offered a new job with a bigger salary and ask if they can match it and you will stay otherwise say goodbye without a second thought.
If they dont match the new salary, then they dont think or value you enough, so leave without any regrets and a bigger purse...

If they are offering much more money, they must really like you.

If you like them too, then take it. If you don't know if you like them yet, ask to speak to them again and ask everything you want to know.

You'll spend most of your time with those people - they are the key to having fun.
