I know that there was one that started with a "M" that my dance teacher mentioned But I can't remember the name. I think it is from the D.R or something...

Are you asking about Spanish as in Spane or Spanish as in Spanish-speaking countries?

I believe Flamenco and Pasodoble are from Spain. Pasodoble is a couple dance. Flamenco can be danced by one person or by a man and a woman, but it's not a couple dance in the usual sence.

Latin American dances are Rumba, Cha-cha-cha, samba, bachata, merengue, salsa, mambo. Tango is originally from Argentina, so you can also consider it latin by origin.

Flamenco is the only Spanish one. There are lots of South American dances, usually called Latin dances - mambo, merengue, rumba, samba, cha cha, the list goes on.

Hota, Sevillana and Flamenco are the most known. I've taken a Spanish dance class (from Spain) and these three kinds are what we learned.
