They'll lose to the Tigers as the Wild Card in the first round, or Twins if they don't gain 1st place.

Celebrate excessively - back when the Yankees were great they never would have celebrated like that, they still haven't won SH**

I hate the Yankees but limping in does not mean anything. Pitching matchups usually are the deciding factor in the playoffs. The Yankees do not really want to face the Twins in a 5 game series because of Santana. They would definately see him twice if it went the distance. All of those high priced bats in their line up would be at a disadvantage. This year is as wide open as it has been in a long time.

Its so nice to see that YANKEE HATERS are still WHINING about the best team in Baseball YEAR after YEAR!! Here is a question for you BRAINIAC who has more wins COMBINED in the last 5 years. Here is a hint its not the Tigers, its not the Dred Sox, its not the Twins. Wanna Guess yet? And by the way, dont start with the fact that the YANKEES bought there way into the PLAYOFFS because the last time I checked ALL teams paid their players!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They haven't limped anywhere. They took first place because the Red Sox lost last night. The New Yankees are the best baseball team that has ever exsisted! The second best team of the MLB is the Saint Louis Cardinals!

Limping is now defined as 32 games over .500, with a 41-23 record against the East and a 23-12 against the Central?

Yeah, must be a Red Sux fan.

Nobody knows what you're talking about. The Yankees dominated their division and the Central division. They have been resting their players since the Boston massacre. Everything is going according to plan. You must not understand much about MLB. I feel sorry for you, because once you understand the game it is very enjoyable. Your question makes you look like an idiot. Keep watching. You'll understand someday.

what do you mean by limp? if "limp" means barely make it, then i guess 11 game lead isnt a very big lead. I guess im just a little confused with your terminology of "limp", mostly because they arent struggling to make the playoffs.
