I'm usually very forgiving. There is only one person who I haven't been able to forgive. I fantasize about seeking revenge, but that's as far as I'll take it.

I may not forgive, nor forget either, for that matter, but I figured out a long time ago that revenge ain't worth the effort. You might also think of it this way; if you get into a wrestling match with a hog, after while it dawns on you that the hog likes it.

Why take revenge? What purpose does it serve except to make a problem worse? It takes less time to forgive than it does to plot revenge.

Yes on both counts, but my revenge is so sweet because I never do anything to them. I was told a long time ago that the best revenge is to live well.

My ex husband is still trying to get me back after 18 years. EVERYTIME he saw me, I had my hair, makeup, and clothes sharp!

Now I'm engaged to a wonderful man who bought me a house and he's still living at home with his mother ( he's 46 now)

I will wait years - decades - to exact terrible revenge if I can't get it when I want it.

I might consider forgiveness once I have damaged the object of my animosity sufficiently to satisfy the hunger.

But it won't happen before the debt has been repaid in full.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

It would depend on what the other person did, whether I could forgive or not.
