When both7 and 3 are taken away from a number, the result is 31. What is the number?

SO many different possible answers.

1. x - 7 - 3 = 31 x=41
2. x - 73 = 31 x =104
3. 7331 --> cross off a 7 and 3 (rearrange digits for more solutions)

Taken away means to subtract from...so you need to do the opposite and that means that 31 + 7 + 3 = the number you want, which is 41.

I don't like Math Homework either. It can be frustrating at times. 7 and 3 equals 10. 31 plus 10 equals 41. I hope that helped. Good luck.
