A "sugar daddy" is man who takes care of a woman, financially and otherwise. There may or may not be loved involved between the two of them....usually not, though. Very rarely do they get married.

A sugar daddy is usually an older dude who bankrolls a hot, young chick. For instance, the old dude Anna Nicole Smith glommed on to was her sugar daddy. Depending on how old the sugar daddy is, it may be strictly a financial relationship.

The term "sugar daddy" usually refers to an older male lover to whom one offers his/her affection in return for being financially taken care of. In other words, an old rich guy who give you a good allowance in exchange for being his sweetheart, even though he may not be very cute.
