I used to get them all the time when I was younger. Wear only cotton panties, get the Monistat 7 or the Monistat 3. If you contact your gynecologist, he can give you a prescription for a pill that you only have to take one time by mouth.

Symptoms can include a cottage cheese like discharge, odor, itchiness.

Yogurt, and the acidophilous bacteria in it, act as a natural enemy of the yeast (candida). While eating yogurt regularly may prevent a re-infestation, it won't necessarily cure it.

If this is your first time, head to the doctor for a definitive diagnosis (as it could be other things). In future, Monostat 7 has been the one most recommended on Yahoo!Answers. 75% of American females will have a yeast infection at least once during their lifetime.

As well as the other signs metnioned already, yest infectons can also lead to sore and/or swollen vulva (the area right outside vagina)
Also, there should not be an odor (not that you said there was, but if one should develop, or for future referance) If there is an odor, it is important to get to a doc.
Also, I have sucessfully treated yeast infections with external cream only.....but the suppositories work better.

If it itches down there real bad then you probably do. Also, if you are having discharge or a bad order, then those could be signs. They have pills or antibiotics that you can take but it's best to just use the cream. When you insert it, make sure you lay down b/c it will leak out. It doesn't hurt you when using that.

Signs: itchiness, discharge and Oder.

If you want to get rid of it without going to a doctor there is a way but it's kind of nasty. Get a large container of plain yogurt. Apply 2 tablespoons to your vagina twice a day. Within 2 days it should be gone.
