everyone is different. I did not show with my girls. I was 5"8" and 125 lbs. Tall and skinny. But Now I am pregnant with a boy and I am 5'8" and 160. So every one is different, and every pregnancy is different. You are only 15 weeks. I didn't even get my appetite until I was 18 weeks. I am 21 weeks now and I gained 15 lbs in 3 weeks. It will come and by the time you are 38 weeks you will have a cute tummy. Don't worry about the doctor. Your metabolism is high and will eventually slow down. If you are being healthy that is great. I would suggest if you keep having this problem that you get a second opinion. The last thing a doctor should so is make you feel bad, or criticizes what you have accomplished.

I am a mother of 3 and each time I was pregnant, it was totally different. For instance, my first one I was as big as a house but I didn't show until I was about 5 1/2 months. My second one, I was normal size and I started to show immediatly, but my third one, I didn't know I was pregnant until the baby kicked. I didn't gain weight, I was having periods, and I had no symptoms. I was 21 weeks before I knew anything. So Especially if this is your first you may not show until you are 5 or 6 months just take care of yourself, eat healthy and enjoy this moment in your life. Have fun eating whatever you want. (smile) Take care.

Everyone gains pregnancy weight differently. But everything I have ever read says to increase your caloric intake to 2,000 cals a day. Try to place yourself on a cal count to make sure you are getting enough calories. But if it makes you feel any better, I am 18 1/2 weeks and I was at an average weight and I've only gained 6 lbs. So hangin there!! Good luck!

If you really are concerned and want to gain weight, I would try getting the fruit smoothies (no herbs) hopefully you like fruit!! and have them add protein to it. Its a healthy way to gain weight and it tastes good too. However, do you feel healthy? Dr say you are healthy? If so..... I don't understand a Dr wanting you to gain weight just for the sake of gaining weight! ya know?

I wouldn't stress about gaining weight. Soon you'll be gaining by leaps and bounds.
If your dr. wants you to gain a little more weight, try more carbs.
I was a carb craving freak when I was pregnant. I ate a whole lot of peanut butter toast and ended up gaining 65lbs!

as long as the BABY is gaining the grams it should, dont you worry about having to sneak chocolate bars.
You wont look pregnant when you gain FAT, you will look pregnant as your baby grows.
As long as you have a well balanced diet dont sit and eat and eat because you are really early in your pregnancy yet ahnd trust me you will gain weight towards the end like it or not.
I didnt start to show till the end of my 5th month and then it didnt stop!

I have been told that before too...it was hard I had lots of ice cream and milkshakes...lol. Gaining weight is hard to do for some people especially if you still have morning sickness. Just do the best you can do.
Good luck

I had the same prob gaining wait and my doc recommended eating peanut butter by the spoon fulls or on a sandwich right before bed. It really helped me. I also know alot of women that have lost weight during preg. and their babies are fine. I am sure your baby is healthy.

What?! Get a new doctor that isn't such a jerk. All pregnancies are different. Just eat and exercise regularly and healthily. I didn't gain a pound with my first pregnancy, or even show until I was twenty-six weeks.
