If you use the algebraic protocol, then this is the easiest way:
7(3/7 + 3)
= 21/7 +21
so 21/7 = 3; 21 plus the 3 = 24.

Joe C has it exactly right. Don't listen to the idiot above this reply: he just hasn't kept all the decimal places. Either that or he's using a rubbish calculator! If you multiply out Joe C's equation it proves it works:
(3/7 + 3) * 7 = ((3/7) * 7) + (3 * 7) = 3 + 21 = 24
Well done to Joe C by the way, I couldn't manage it myself.

Here goes:
3 x 3 +7 + 7=23 no good.
7 x 3 + 3 =24 but we're left with 7
3 - 7 divided by 3 = 24 (we're still missing the 7) Are you sure these were the numbers... maybe my brain is fried today too.)
I guess Joe C's answer is the best because it comes out to 23.9999999999999 Don't think you can get 24 exactly.

This is a tricky one, because the answer involves fractions. Think about the fraction 24/7.
This is a really hard one!
As a hint, here's how it works with 5,5,5,1:
5 * (5 - 1/5) = 24.
Can you see a similar pattern that might work with
your four numbers?
