...are you saying only libs should be allowed to speak or express an opinion.. and this post you speak of was in spirituality and religion, where i believe christians are still allowed.. what good is free speech if only some speech is politically coorect.. isn't political correctness, mind police? we need a balance, for example civil unuions rather than changing the definition of (originally christian) marriage - even some libs agree that the old values were better for society..

Your presupposition in asking this question is that you do not share the convictions and presupostions of those "cons" who share the position in the cited question.

But that's a presupposition in itself! That each of the things that are cited as morally wrong are, in fact morally acceptable.

So I need to ask you the same thing:

What gives you the right to impose YOUR presuppostions and convictions on me?

The answer is the SAME as it is for the 'cons' you take issue with:

Freedom of speech and a poltical system that rewards the majority party in the Executive and Legislative branches of our government.

"Speak Up about it" equals "impose" according to a Liberal.

[edit]
Sounds like doublespeak and a rationale for speech codes. If you wish to impose restrictions on what people can say, and still be able to claim you are for free-speech, just rename certain speech as "imposing their values" or "alienating others".
