I have the ORIGINAL version of GTA Vice City. I have beaten the game once. Yesterday I decided to start the game once more but the "GREEN HOUSE" icons won't show up on the map. I have beaten the level where you kill Diaz. The icons should have showed up by then. But they didn't. Also the disc is heavily scratched (I lent the game to one of my friends after having beaten the game and that's when the disc started malfunctioning). I repaired the disc with a cream but most of the scratches remained there. Could it be that the "GREEN HOUSE" icons are not showing up because the disc is heavily damaged? Should I get the disc professionally repaired?

that is a good reason why it may be malfunctioning i would go to gamecrazy or wherever used games are sold and get it buffed

If you want to try and fix the scratches, you can use household toothpaste with good results. Use the instructions in the second post on this page.

Doesn't the game stop and say "You can now buy properties around Vice City"? Did it say that already, and nothing happens? You might have to complete the Vercetti Mansion missions to get it to start... like, the one where you have to get the cop clothes, and the one where you shootout all the windows at the mall, or plant the bomb at the mall.
