My friend is having a hard time getting pregnant. She told me that her doctor put her on birth control pill to help her get pregnant. How exactly would that work? I thought the whole idea of the pill was to prevent pregnancy. Am I missing something here? Did I misunderstand her? I didn't want to ask my friend because it's a touchy subject for her.

No it's been done for years now. My college room-mate did that and now she has three. I think they put you on for awhile to build you up, then take you off . then Whamoo It does work for most.

well actually what birth control does is give your body a fake since of pregnancy. At the same time it increases your hormone levels so that makes you more fertile. Most women are unable to get pregnant because they don't have regular cycles therefore their having irregular hormone levels.
