I have the ORIGINAL version of GTA Vice City. I have beaten the game once. Yesterday I decided to start the game once more but the "GREEN HOUSE" icons won't show up on the map. I have beaten the level where you kill Diaz. The icons should have showed up by then. But they didn't. Also the disc is heavily scratched (I lent the game to one of my friends after having beaten the game). I repaired the disc with a cream but most of the scratches remained there. Could it be that the "GREEN HOUSE" icons are not showing up because the disc is heavily damaged? Should I get the disc professionally repaired?

Well theirs 2 things, one yes it is destroyed, and no, depending on how you killed diaz depends if you actually have to go through the missions. Supposidly if you do something before it was suppose to be done you dont have to do it... This is what i can remember, i read it on some cheat site, so im not so sure if its right, but in the end i just believe you did the right thing and dont have to do those missions

It's possible.

Vice City is really cheap to buy now, it'll probably be cheaper to buy a new one than to have the disc repaired.

Check out the link I put in the source box, they have it used for like 4 bucks.

ok I easily have had the same subject and it grow to be rather solved. bypass to any Gamestop/EB video games and purchase their disc cleansing products. stick to the educational on the lower back of the bottle and then watch for a couple of minutes (or not) and resume game play. desire this helped. additionally the fee for this may well be a sort from $2-$5.
