I remember this well, i really wanted a bra when i was about to eleven but was too shy to ask. What is funny is that my mum's recollection of events was that she kept offereing to buy me bras but i kept saying no.
We obviously had very crossed wires. One day she just came back from town with two 32aa bras.
Maybe you could mention that girls in your class have started wearing crop tops and training bras and you would like to start wearing them too.
I am sure she is just waiting for you to ask! I know my mum was...
Don't be shy.

I agree with *DB* about the mom knowing when.
First ask her to spend some quality time with her (just her) and go shopping with her. i wouldnt want my bro's or step dad coming with me lol
But a really good way is when u go to the store with her and just happen to walk by the bra section, just go "awwwww" and stop her and pick up any bra (but it cant be plain and it doesnt matter if it fits u) and say "this is so cute can i get it?"
but when u try it on is the worst part. just lay low and pretend like u have tried on bras tons of times b4 or else the person who tells u when u can go into a room will start teasing u.
oh yeah, usually i would go with my aunt b/c she is so cool with things and acts as if she has done this a million times. she is the best to go with for the first time, then the second time go with ur mom or just keep going with ur aunt

If you're bouncing, are wearing nice clothes and things don't look quite right, if you find yourself showing thru your white shirts, go to your mother (some day when she's sitting relaxed all by herself) and go up to her and primp to her in your clothes and say something like "I feel uncomfortable when I look like this what can I do?
Of course, if you have an allowance, Walmart has inexpensive clothes, go there (with friends) and try on a few by yourself, and buy the one that fits best. Get a tape measure and measure by inches around your chest at it's widest part. That's the size you buy. If you're small then choose an A. ....normal size for high school girls is a 32A or 32B. If you need less than 32 buy a 32 anyway and stitch it smaller in the back on a sewing machine (or by hand).

I understand this could be uncomfortable, so just put it into conversation calmly, like it's not a big issue, cuz really she should know anyway. If you just be like, 'Oh yeah mum, is there any chance you could get me a bra cuz I need one and I haven't got the money to get one myself?' If you just get the confidence to say it, as I said like it's not a big issue, just drop it into casual conversation, then it will be fine! Good luck and don't stress honey! X

Explain how you feel, start by saying "I know we dont really discuss things mum but maybe its about time we started, it will be good for both of us" Hopefully this will break any ice and you will start talking to each other and things will progress from there. She can only say no but someone has to be first! Good luck.

next time you are shopping with you mom, just walk over to the bras and say I think it is time for one, don't you? Then the two of you can pick them out together and she make sure that you get the right size. Good Luck!

Just tell your mom I need a bra. Then its over and hopefully she will buy you the bra. Or ask who you usually talk to about things like that. If you can't ask your mom for a bra how are you going to ask for tampons when you get your period.
