My greatest achievement?
Putting my money in the bank to collect interest and saving until I can buy what I want when I can actually afford it instead of applying for a loan.
Everything I have actually belongs to me instead of the bank.
Because of my financial practices I have money in savings, money in my pocket, virtually everything I want and as a result am able to live in relative comfort rather than living from paycheck to paycheck because I'm buried up to my eyeballs in debt.
I am self-employed with no wife, no children and no debt. I intend to stay that way and if I continue to do as I have been will comfortably retire at the age of 40 instead of 65 with half my life still ahead of me.
Why everyone else doesn't do the same I simply cannot understand. Why would you spend the better part of 2/3 of your life working and living paycheck to paycheck only to retire on social security and continue to do the same? Why would anybody take a loan out for a house that will take 30 years to pay off instead of saving that money for 10 or 15? I didn't see the logic in it and decided to do something different.
I am only 27 years old and already have nearly everything I want in life.

If that's not an achievement, I don't know what is.

Running my home as a successful bed and breakfast for 10 years after my divorce and currently, learning to swim. I did two 25 metre lengths of the pool in breaststroke today! It felt pretty good too!

investing time in kids that have been dragged up and been exposed to more sh*t than most grown ups see in a life time - an especially memorable moment was when I took a seven year old boy i know, who spends his days stealing cars and burgling houses, to a football match for the first time - he had never been off his estate before, and got excited when he saw a canal and ate a pie. they say little things please little minds, but you really can't put a price on how happy he was that day just to be paid some positive attention

REACHING OUT WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT TO SOMEONE WHO HAS LOST THEIR DREAMS AND JUST WANT TO DIE. WITHIN THAT ONE SPLIT SECOND THAT THE PERSON WILL ALWAYS LET THEIR GUARD DOWN YOU CATCH WITH YOUR OWN HEART, NOT YOUR EYES, THE REASON FOR LIFE ITSELF.
