I think I'd use Mark Fuhrman, like the person above said. He was the detective on the O.J. Simpson case with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Elliott Ness was a Treasury agent, not a detective. Try doing a Google search on Mark Fuhrman.

Elliott was a detective. The second person who answered is wrong. Read the article in the link and you see that he was an investigator, may not have been for murder and stuff but he did work for the FBI

Look up on the internet about real life crime, type in Myra Hindley or Jack the Ripper and you will prebably get newspaper articles, so find out what it says about the detectives.
