Why are police officers using tasers on citizens for minor reasons? I read more and more news stories of citizens being tasered for small things.

Why do you have a need to ask this question at least five times? And not even use the correct grammar - who has the tazers, the officers or the citizens? "Citizens with tasers"

Police officers are using tazers so they don't have to shoot.
Crime is so bad now days.The police don't know if you have a weapon or not and obviously if someone is running from the police they have done something wrong or why would they run away from an officer.They have to be cautious as they could come up against anything violent.if it's tazers they are using,then that is a warning that you've done something suspicious and they are protecting themselves,too

Due to the minute scrutiny officers undergo everytime they use their tazer, I sincerely doubt they are indiscriminately bullying innocent civilians.
Where do people get these ideas? Have you ever had a meth fiend attack you? Isn't a tazer preferable to a Glock?

Because when the officer says stop, they don't stop. Next time ask if they'll shoot you with their service revolver instead, then you won't ask dumb questions.
