All i hate are the (TYF's) the typical yankee fans...."ohh i love a-rod, and jeter...." you live in minnesota you dummy...go get a new team.....most everyone outside on NY, and the exception of the guys whose grandfather grew up going to yanlee stadium, should hate the yankees....why do you?

So many reasons, so little time...
Here's a SHORT list:
1). They are owned by a convicted felon (Steinbrenner)
2). They BUY their players, not drafting and developing them.
3). They have 2 main players implicated in the steroid scandal.
4). Their players are thugs.
5). They refuse to acknowledge any other teams greatness, except when they buy that player off.
6). They are the center of what is wrong with Baseball.
7). They and their fans are the most conceited and obnoxious.
A Minnesota native. Love the Twins and Red Sox; they along with whoever is kicking the Yankees @$$E$ are my favorite teams.

People hate the Yankees because they are too good and have too great of a fan base. Hey you want to do something about it then go buy more tickets to your favorite team, and encourage more people to like your favorite team. Hating the Yankees is just a scapegoat because other teams are not nearly as good. So instead of saying "So and so team just didn't play good this year" you say "Uggh those damn Yankees, they have too much money". And I agree with the previous answer, why not hate the Red Sox. They have almost as much payroll as the Yankees and they LOSE. I think having money and winning is better than having money and still LOSING!
Shut Up and go support your favorite team if you don't like it!

i guess alot of people hate the yankees because they can beat them. you shouldnt forget that they have all the money becuase of good fan support. this season again they played most of their games sold-out. i hate the Boston Red Sucks more, why wouldnt anybody hate Boston Red Sucks; for example David Ortiz, this guy has no character. i love the yankee stadium and watching the yankees. Also one thing to say, if it wasnt the yankees who would pick up your teams over paid player so they can bring youngsters from the farms? your team can sort out the financial problems? if i werent a yankee fan i would hate the yanks too because they are damn good!

I hate the Yankees because the only reason they win is they can afford an outrageous amount of money to pay their players. If every team could pay what they do, then those players would not be with the Yankees. And what's worse is all the band-wagon fans that only like them because they have a winning history. Go D-Backs!

I love the Yankees (my grandfather did grow up going to Yankee Stadium). I don't love A-Rod and Jeter, I love Cano. So, you can't hate me. I know that it can get annoying to see so many poseur Yankee fans. I think so too. Most people don't even bother to sit down and watch the games, they just like the Yankees 'cause it's the "cool" thing to do. So I can see where you're coming from.

Being born and raised a Tiger fan (in Michigan) you are brought up to hate the yankees.
My dad hated the yankees.
His dad hated the yankees.
His dad's dad hated the yankees.
I asked my dad once why he hated the yankees, and he looked me in the eye with a serious look, and said
"Son, the yankees are more evil than the devil himself.
If you dont hate the yankees you aren't a real American"
So far, he has been 100% correct.

The Yankees just plain rule. Okay but I like other teams like the White Sox, Mets, Marlins. Jeter and Cano are the best palyers on the team and i respect them. A-Rod is overated and should be traded to the Phillies for Ryan Howard. Gaimbi is fat and old. Sheffield just freaking sux. Matsui should traded. Melky was a grat rookie. Chien Ming Wang was excellent. So my fav players are Jeter, Wang, Cano, Abreu, and Rivera. I grew up with the Yanks. So however hates the Yanks theyre jealous and are just retards and gay asses who just dont like the pinstripes. NY Rules NY rules. Go NY.

I love my New York Yankees! IF I did hate them here are some reasons: 1:Steinbrenner buys his players, instead of using home grown talent. 2:Baseball's rules don't apply to the Yanks 3:I'm jealous from all 26 Series Titles! 4:Steinbrenner has a shi*load of money(I am flat broke!!!)5:Not that I am gay, but D-J and A-Rod are the best looking baseball players!!!! 6:I am pissed off(not really, wink, wink!!!)the Sox won't make the playoffs this year!! ALL of the above reasons ARE why I love MY New York Yankees!! And my final reason why I hate the Yankees, I grew up living, breathing, eating, and bleeding Yankee Pinstripes!!

you know who loves the yankees? your teams owner. cuz when the yankees come to town you can put 20000 more people in the seats. It doesnt make a difference in a place like boston cuz that will be a sellout anyway. but when the yanks go to KC im sure the books are looking a lot better 3 days in a row.

Joe V is an idiot. The Yankees have never bought a championship. The 4 titles that they won in the late 90s were not from a $100 payroll. In fact, they weren't even the highest payroll in the league.
If you hate the Yankees, it's b/c you're jealous that they are winners. The Royals suck b/c their owner doesn't care to get any good players.
At least Steinbrenner cares enough to invest the money into the team. He's not breaking any rules. There is no salary cap...
and the owner of YOUR favorite team voted against it!
