It would be tough to find a job ANYWHERE with a felony conviction. It would vary depending if it was drug, financial,
or violent. The US is very unforgiving in that nature, but some people have really made something of themselves with priors.
If you want one bad enough, you'll find one, my friend.

It depends upon the charge and what kind of job you are looking for. Physical, financial, battery, served jail time, nationality etc.. Yes race still determines whether or not the employer will even look at your application. A felony will make them think even harder. Try Joblink, Workforce pinellas.org(and their locations) Go to Erwin tech. Get out there honey. You also need to try to do volunteer work. You may say what the hell, but when it comes to jobs: "Its not what you know but who you know. " I've have known people with battery charges but work in the Nursing field. How in the world? I'm not hatin' but I'm just saying. I have met some straight up thieves but they have worked as bank managers. I've struggled all this time while they got ahead by just networking. Ain't that some...if you are willing, get a trade or degree. Sometimes this will get employers to give you a second chance. Good luck and I hope this helps.

It is very hard because most jobs require a background check. My brother was in the same boat. We have a successful home base business and we showed it to him and now he does it. All work is done at home on the computer and phone. No inventory, no collecting and no overhead. Strictly legitimate. Email rbowen12@windstream.net Good luck

Well, don't expect to make six figures. You probably just need to start at the bottom and take what you can get.
