I'm not sure I'd mind it if people had to get an HIV tests every few years, but the fact that the FBI would be responsible for it is a bit bothersome. I, personally, don't find them to be the most trustworthy organization. They might have an ulterior motive.

I have nothing to fear from the government as I am not breaking any laws. I also do not fear aids as I don't cheat on my wife, and believe that she doesn't cheat on me. However, I have a problem with the Feds arbitrarily collecting biometric identifiers from people indisciminately. The problem with these types of programs is that the information is too often misused. This is another issue of trading freedom for security, and frankly I am just not willing to do that in any case. Once you start giving away freedoms you never get them back, and the infringement rarely ends at the benign.

It is a privacy issue but it is a public health issue also. I don't feel that the feds should be involved the testing is widely available now anyway.

I say, I'm a good boy. I don't fool around (mainly because I don't know any women who are attracted to me) so I would tell the government to mind their own freaking business and get off my case! I don't like having my character maligned.
Have a great day!!!

Great! I think it's a wonderful way to stop the chain of infection. More people should get tested, they're just scared. If it was something we HAD to do, we could control it a lot easier.
