I like SUVs even though I never owned one, (I drove a Nissan Pathfinder for 2 miles) I love the way the newest ones look and I like to be a little higher off the ground and they seem to be more comfortable than cars, but really, whats the difference?statistics say they,re junk; especially in the event of an accident, I want to hear from people that own SUVs!

SUV is usually built off a truck frame rather than a car frame, so they sit higher up and have a stiffer ride.

You can't drive a truck the way you drive a low slung car and expect to stay on all four wheels-I think alot of the stats are due to operator error rather than a faulty design.

Difference Between Suv And Car

SUVs aren't junk! They just guzzle gas. My parents used to own one and it was a very comfortable car BUT it got about 16 miles to the gallon. :P They are also very hard to park. Like docking the Queen Mary! lol They are safer than sedans because of their size and all but sedans are more fuel efficient. You have a bigger chance of dying in a crash in sedan than an SUV. Especially if you're hit by 18 wheeler. There are good things and bad things about both kinds of cars. So it's your choice!

SUV are built to be like trucks, but more practical (covered trunk space, backseat, etc.). They tend to get worse MPG than cars though and in accidents, are easier to tip over.

SUV's are more roomy and I feel safer in one than in a small car. Gas mileage is not as good as a car, but ......
