Last year I had a kid who really could not sit still. I would ask him to pass out papers for me, to erase the board, and to pass out any special things that we were working on in class.
If I picked up paper or something from the floor that needed thrown away I would give it to him and ask him to throw it away. He NEEDED to be active.
Doing this helped to save my sanity. I do teach at the high school level. I am not sure which level you teach. I only had to deal with him for 50 minutes. Doing it for a whole day might be a different story.
Other things that you can do are put a reward system in place. Set individual goals and if they meet the goals allow them to pick out something from a prize box (penny candy, etc.).
Speak firmly with them. Let them know that you are serious. I told this boy (who was very immature) that I was doing things to help him. HE had to help himself as well. I let him know what my expectations were and that helped.
When he could not control himself I sent him to the office. I actually only sent him out once. It had a lasting effect.
Good luck; it is a challenge for sure!

you can make a deal with these kids, have a talk with them during free time and promise them that if they do not disrupt the class, they will be given some extra creative project work. You are a computer teacher, you can easily allow them access to the computer during their free time, if anf only if they do not ddisrupt the class.

hyperactive children are usually highly intelligent. you can give them a chance to come up and teach a particular topic during revision.

you can give them each a "charge" i.e. put a weak student under their care, they can help them in studying and understamnding.if there are more than one hyperactive students, you can have a competition, to see whose "charge" does the best.

dont discard these hidden gems, they may be a nuisace now, but, you'll never forget them, and neither will they forget you.

Is it ADHD? If so, sometimes such a child must be treated differently. I'm against, but happens that psychologists say to let him behave less polite than other children, cause he just have to lessen his energy, for example by walking around, talking, etc...Strange...

Well ... medically ... they should get Ritalin .. for ADHD if thats what your taking about ... but other than that... if ur just talking about normal hyper kids... be strict with ur rules... if they break them make sure u see to it they are disciplined..
